HAPPY BIRTHDAY NADINE LUSTRE

That moment when the clock hit 12:00md last October 31; it was, by far, one of the craziest twitter parties in our fandom’s 8 months of existence. Everyone was at the hype of their emotions, posting their tributes in Social Media; expressing how this 21-year-old lady touched their lives. I remember, I promised to post 21 reasons why I love Nadine; but I wasn’t able to do so. I don’t know. For some reason, I was lost for words. She had me speechless.

Wondering where to wander – I spaced out. I was tapping my pen on my notebook, trying to figure out how to begin this post-birthday blog post. Until I’ve received a wonderful message that inspired me to write about her. And so here you go.

21 Reasons why I love Nadine Lustre

1.       Inborn Comic Antics

Flashback DNP Days – I bet everybody would agree to me that Nadine’s forte is really comedy. I laughed my ass out every time she threw punch lines, plus her make-faces, ugh everything’s just oh-so-natural. It’s inborn. Not trying hard as compared to other teen actresses whom I find it awkward whenever I see them do comedy roles.

While everybody commends James’ acting and critics Nadine’s dramatic sense in Talk Back and You’re Dead, let us not forget how Nadine, on her character as Eya, became the hero of Diary Ng Panget.

Most celebrities can do drama, but not everyone can pull off a comedy role.

2.       Little Miss Cowgirl

Have you read the positive review from her official photographer in the Witching Hour? Need I say more?

3.       The Game Changer

Have you seen her break-dance moves on her recent birthday celebration? She’s so cool. Such a good sport! She’s really game just to make her fans happy. Again, need I say more?

Not only that. She becomes the game changer and rocked the showbiz industry as she continues to make waves. No wonder she’s now tagged as ‘The Next Big Star!”

4.       Fans? No. More like a Family.

I did a research on Naddicts. I see how she really connects and bonds with her fans, even before DNP Days. They spent anniversary on a normal set up. She talks as if she’s just her kabarkada. Whenever she interacts with her fans, you wouldn’t believe that she’s a big star already. She bonds with them. She watches movie with them, even until now. Just recently she had an ordinary dinner and videoke dates with the admins of her fanclubs. I mean, who does this? Considering how in-demand she is right now.

She sees to it that she has a personal touch with her fans. I see the IG Video of JaDine Mommies when she really stopped just to interact and sign posters of her fans, even so she’s inside the car already, on her way out. None of the fame has gotten into her. She’s the next big star yet she makes us feel like she’s just within our reach. Oh Nadine, you’re awesome!

5.       The Stage Darling

Do not expect PA-CUTE, PA-SWAY-SWAY, PA-WAVE-WAVE performances from Nadine, as compared to other artists out there. More often than not she goes off stage. Have you seen her Paligoy-ligoy performance in CEBU? Watch it. For sure you’ll know what I mean.

She may sing on an average level but she dances like there’s no tomorrow. Try to watch her dance performance with AJ Mulach (Nobody’s Perfect).

6.       Her name spells Artistry

Even before DNP Days, she already knows how to paint. She’s an artist. We’re all witnesses of her artistic sense. See how she posts her pictures on IG, to the point that her account has been featured on various blogs and magazines already. Her artistry defines her personality.

7.       Her name spells Fashion

She has become the new Fashion Icon of all teens out there. I see pictures of fans sporting their Nadine Lustre-inspired OOTDs. Nadine gives a new meaning of Fashion where you don’t need to wear glamorous outfit and heavy make-up just to look fashionable. Her Fashion is creativity at its finest.

8.       The Natural Diction

I don’t know. Is it just me? Or does everybody notice that her diction is a killer? So Much Class whenever Nadine speaks in English; her MTV VJ Stint is at par to the current pool of MTV / MYX VJs. That’s why people misconstrue her as ‘sosyal’ because of her accent whenever she speaks English.

9.       Superstar Outside, An Ordinary Girl Inside

You’ll not expect a rising star roaming around the Mall just like an ordinary girl. She’s an epitome of a girl who’s on her way to stardom but simply acts as an ordinary girl. I’ve come to read a tweet when Nadine shopped in a boutique. To some, they expect celebrities to savor the fame with much VIP Treatment; but with Nadine, pumipila po siya.

10.   Define Intelligence. Her grammar.

No more explanation; but Nadine definitely is a good written and oral communicator.

11.   Interview PRO

Do you notice how Nadine answers during interviews? She’s very straight forward. She knows her words. She manages her own thoughts and knows how to deliver it in a way that everybody can understand. She sugar coats it but not too much to the point of deceiving people. She’s very honest. She’s not giving false hopes for the sake of pleasing the fans. What you see is what you get.

More often than not, she’s always to the rescue whenever James is caught off guard with all the intriguing questions coming from the press.

12.   Maturity at its finest

Nadine answers never-ending issues of bashers with so much poise and maturity. She always advises us to relax and stay calm whenever we encounter negatrons who try to pull her down.

13.   Hard to get. Not expectant – Career or Love life.
She’s not clingy. She knows how to take care of her heart. With all the effort that this guy has been showing to her, even off cam, it’s really ‘hard not to feel a little bit of something’ but I am proud on how Nadine handles herself. She’s not expectant. She’s hard to get. She takes her time to consider apprehension, to consider the situation. Relate it to her career as well; her blossoming career is also unexpected. Everything came in as a surprise.

14.   Everybody loves the Underdog.

Many didn't expect that Nadine will make it big; but look at her now.

15.   The Values of her family

I am a follower of Ms My Lustre’s IG Account and I always see her share bible verses and positive quotes on her account, thus giving me an impression on how she molds Godly values and character to her children. You’ll also see how Tito Dong speaks during interviews.

16.   Her Values, Our Values

She’s an inspiration to many. The way she carries herself and pursues her dreams amidst life’s challenges. She almost gave up her career. She’s been waiting since she’s a kid to have this big break. She’s with VIVA for four years until she bagged the role of EYA that opened doors of opportunities to her. I hope Nadine’s story of hard-work will be an inspiration to all teens out there.

17.   Such a sweetheart, at least to her friends

James always says that she’s a good listener. She’s very understanding. If Nadine has bad records in the past, I guess her friends who know her even before she became a superstar wouldn’t say that she deserves all the opportunities that she has; but likewise, all are unanimous that she deserves all the blessing.

18.   Her presence is a breath of fresh air

I always say this; but I believe that the reasons why people are starting to love Nadine Lustre because she’s an underdog and she’s a breath of fresh air as compared to other overrated artists in the industry.

19.   Leading Lady of All Time

Is it just me? Nadine compliments almost all leading men that she’s paired with. Starting off with AJ Mulach, I had a marathon of all Bagets episodes and her tandem with AJ was commendable. The chemistry is also there.

Next is, Joseph Marco. Oh Come On, this one’s strong. I remember I watched Joseph’s Tapatan Ni Tunying Episode when he said that ‘Kung gusto ko ang isang tao, gusto ko talaga siya, pero kung ayaw ko, ayaw ko talaga sa kanya!’ So does this mean that Nadine won his heart as well? I guess YES. It’s very apparent on her IG Post. Let us also include Dominic Roque. Pansin ko lang puro HUNKS ang nakapaligid kay Nadine!

Okay, JaDines. Don’t get jealous. You’ll have your moment.

20.   The Diamond in the Rough

This is to address all the bashers out there who critics Nadine’s acting. Wait for her until she masters her craft. Liza Soberano started out shaky but look at her now? Watch Forevermore and you’ll see her improvement from her acting stints in MBL, GTB, and She’s The One.  I am confident that Nadine will improve! Take it easy on her. Give her time. Reason why she has unstoppable opportunities is because the experts believe in her potential.

Let me define this and you’ll get what I mean.
Definition Number 1:
The expression  " You're a diamond in the rough" means that a person has some hidden, undiscovered talent, characterisitic or quality that is not immediately clear to others due to one's rough, undeveloped exterior. The person has a lot of untapped potential or qualities that are untapped, but needs to be nurutred and refined in order for these qualities and traits to really reflect the tue person.
Analogy:
The phrase “diamond in the rough” is an analogy to a diamond.  When a diamond is extracted from the mines it looks like a glassy rock.  It is only when it goes through the process of being cleaned, cut and polished does it acquire sparkle and brilliance and is considered of high value.  When this analogy is applied to a person it means that the person has great potential but is rough and unpolished, but with hard work the true potential of the individual can be discovered.  The phrase “diamond in the rough” may also refer to someone who is genuine and valuable inside but has a rough exterior.

21.   The Best On Screen Partner

“I couldn’t have done it without you!” James Reid to Nadine Lustre.

To all negatrons out there who are still in denial that James really couldn’t make it without Nadine, I hope that James acknowledgement on how Nadine helped her is enough to shut your mouths. James Reid is James Reid partly because of Nadine Lustre; same goes to Nadine. Case Closed.

The fact that James made an effort to book a trip to Japan with Nadine is more than enough to prove that Nadine has made an impact to James’ heart. For an 8-month old love team, I guess that’s too much to give, guess she’s really THAT special.

The list can go on and on, but believe me dear, I will never get tired of supporting you... because you deserve it. Happy Birthday Nadine Lustre.

  2. You can be the best human being on earth but if you are making movies you should have the basic skills in acting. She cannot be a superstar if she can't sing live or can't act. She will just be one of the overhyped celebrities who is followed by annoying noisy fans because she is paired with a demigod. She needs to prove that she can act. She can do a million kissing scenes or can be daring but the real proof of the pudding is 'acting'. That's why you're here in showbiz. Not because James is giving you this and that, and you have offcam this and that. You need to know how to act. And if you are a singer, you need to learn how to sing live without going out of tune or without the annoying autotune back up. Prove that you are more than a hype or a flash in the pan. Take acting seriously and we will take you seriously. Hope Jadine Publicist will be brave enough not to delete a post from a bystander.

    1. I agree. However, superstars are made not born. In the history of Philippine Cinema, only one star deserves to be called "super" not because of the title bestowed upon her but because her talent has been recognized worldwide. I'm talking about Nora Aunor. Unfortunately, her personal life's trajectory can be likened to a shooting star but that's another story. La Aunor herself needed a lot of polishing when she started before her star finally twinkled flawlessly. Since the 70s, only a handful were considered artists and not just stars, and even less of them excelled in both acting and singing. The early 80s had Sharon. The late 80s had the "Triplets"-Manilyn, Tina, Sheryl. The early 90s had Donna, The late 90s had Jolina. The rest were either better singers then they were actresses or vice versa. These days, only Sarah G. is a double-threat in both singing and acting. The rest are all hype no substance, most of their "talent" rely on their ability to cry on cue and their skill to lip sync the songs pre-recorded for them by ghost singers. But even Sarah herself needs the help of auto-tune to mask the off-key notes she belts once in a while. There's nothing wrong with that, one can't sing perfectly every single time, not even the greats like Barbra Streisand and Lea Salongga. Nadine is a hardworking thespian, she admits she has a long way ahead of her. She is open to learning and is more importantly, willing to put in the time and effort to improve her craft. She has a good support group who believes in her capability and who will help her reach her maximum potential. Heck, they even invested on someone like Anne Curtis who (let's face it), can't even carry a tune to save her life. Let's give Nadine enough time and ample opportunity to prove herself worthy of a place in the cosmos.

    2. I have the same sentiments as you. i'm the type of a fan that's very meticulous (if that's the right term LOL) when it comes to supporting artists I mean i never support local artist coz u know nman ung popularity ng artists natin is really based on raving fans or just the looks not really their TALENTs .. but I see something in Nadz I just can't put it in words though. but i have lots of criticisms about her acting and singing too. It's kinda hard to support when you yourself know and you see a lot of loopholes in ur idol's skills, u feel doubtful about it.. However it doesn't stop me from being hopeful and a fan, not yet.... I'm here looking forward to witness an improvement in both her acting and singing... JaDine Publicist is just one of the reasons why I'm still here supporting, she gives insightful words to keep you so.... And yeah, I guess we'll just have to give her enough time.

  5. Your article is awesome. I was never been a huge fan to any loveteam considering of my age seems like I'm late to feel this way. Surprisingly, JADINE captured my heart. I was even teary eyed reading your article. I see in you how much you love them and you take all the courage to support especially from the bashers. I usually admire local artists in moderation but with JADINE my admiration is to the highest level. I saw it from my very eyes when they peformed during the On the Road Concert here in Cebu. Since I was standing nearest to the stage so I had the chance to hold their hands more often. They put so much love on their passion..that is singing and dancing and that time James wasn't feeling well but as he performs on stage OMG...he owns it... They have improved their craft by this time...I've watched DNP, TBYD, Hopeless Romantic and now the On the Wings of Love...their mysterious chemistry that melts us instantly...Now I'm a big fan of JADINE and not only that..I even created my twitter, tumbler, instagram account just to make sure I can continuously vote, follow the news and have the best experience chatting with other co-fans... Your article is truly an eye opener for those who doesn't appreciate their talent and who says negative comments about james and nadine... I just love reading your article again and again... God bless and may you continue spreading great things about JADINE....Keep it up
